For the band, having a concert playing along such wonderful musicians from the National Symphony Orchestra of Guatemala was an amazing honor, they felt amazing and was an enriching experience for both parts. Who knows what comes for the future…
The first time
Early in 2013, the National Symphony Orchestra of Guatemala (OSN) approached the band to play in a Beatles tribute concert. In spite of the short time, the organization was good enought to have a full house and a second venue a week after (February 28 and March 10). These amazing concerts were celebrated at the City’s “Miguel Angel Asturias” Cultural Centre, in the Efrain Recinos Great Hall, recieving for each event around 2,000 people. Everyone enjoyed and sang along all the selections from a Fab Four orchestral oriented repertoire, and it was the very first time the OSN played with a rock and roll band.
Again with the OSN
Almost ending 2014, in November, Los Bichos played two dates, for a second time with the OSN. Songs added to the repertoire were presented with newly created arrangements at the same Efrain Recinos Great Hall and, for the second date, a day later, the venue was the Concert Hall of the National Conservatory of Guatemala “Germán Alcantara”. The event was again a great succes.
Trough the Ronald McDonald Foundation
In 2015 the Ronald McDonald Foundation selected the Bichos-Symphonic act for their annual fundraising event. The Efraín Recinos hall from Guatemala City’s Cultural Centre was once more, chosen for the location. For two new dates, Los Bichos with the OSN, put their musicians in charge.
